Snow day and the Creek

First, here's the birthday cake I made for Mikel. It's the first ice cream cake I've ever made. It turned out pretty well I think!

Mikel and I had fun sledding and playing in the snow!

This sled was VERY expensive! It was 3 dollars at Ace hardware and it came rolled up like a poster. It sure did slide well though.

Here's Mr. Plitt enjoying the snow.

Here's our snow man swimming away from the snow sharks.

Here's the creek in our backyard. It's a nice big creek. Dad and I cut a nice path to it from our backyard a couple of weeks ago.

So there you are Jared! See what a nice big creek it is??

Coke Museum

Mikel and I both had last Monday off for the Martin Luther King holiday, so we went to the new coke museum in Atlanta.

They had a cheesy 4D movie. The 4D movie part was good, but it was REALLY cheesy.

The tasting room is always a crowd pleaser! And you can't help but leave feeling like you're gonna pop!

They give you a free bottle coke at the end too! Here's me reaching for one.

Afterward we went to Underground Atlanta and ate at Johnny Rockets. They gave us two nickels to use in the little juke box at our table, it played our songs over the restaurant speakers. Very neat!

Halloween

We started Halloween off with a Zombie party. Thanks for dressing up Kt and Jeff! Mikel and I were Bill and Zoey from Left 4 Dead.

Mikel and I dressed as pirates for Halloween this year. We went to Amy's house and walked around with our nieces, nephew and cousins as they trick or treated.

We carved our pumpkin, two days late maybe, but it still turned out well I think. It's a silhouette of the four survivors from the Zombie video game Left 4 Dead. Here's our pumpkin inspiration.

And our actual pumpkin.

Speaking of pumpkins, here's Willburt!

Disney World

For those of you who don't know, Mikel and I went to Disney World for a few days near the end of October. Mikel's incredibly nice Aunt Stephanie took the entire family to Disney! We had a great time and stayed at the All-Star Movie hotel.

Each building of hotel rooms had a different theme. Ours was Fantasia. They also had Toy Story, Dalmatians, Mighty Ducks and Love Bug (we were really glad we didn't get that one).

The first night we went to the Magic Kingdom. They were open until 12am for Mickey's not so scary Halloween party.

The hotel was really neat. Besides the main Fantasia pool, there was a pool by the mighty ducks called the "duck pond." The Dalmatian area looked like a lot of fun too.

We also went to Hollywood Studios (formerly MGM). Aunt Stephanie and Uncle John gave us all family reunion t-shirts that were really neat. Tower of Terror and the Rockin' Roller coaster were a ton of fun. That night we saw Fantasmic, it was a really awesome show, then we came back to the hotel and went swimming!

We had a great time in Disney World! Thank you Aunt Stephanie!
