Raven!

Our sweet baby Raven was born November 12, 2010. My blood pressure had been high and when I went to my doctor it was even higher so he sent me to a high risk pregnancy doctor who sent me to the hospital. At the hospital they ran some tests and diagnosed me with pre-eclampsia and decided to take Raven immediately. She was breech so they went ahead and delivered her by c-section. She was born about 3 weeks early but is healthy as can be! She was born 5lbs 12oz and 19in long.

Here's some pictures of her bedroom.

Myrtle Beach Vacation

At the beginning of June we went to Myrtle Beach for some fun in the sun!

Our breakfast everyday consisted of a healthy portion of Dunkin Donuts.

It rained briefly one night on our walk back from the ice cream shop.

We couldn't resist ordering room service one night. Delicious pizza, salad and sprite!

On our last night there we went to Planet Hollywood for dinner.

After Planet Hollywood we went putt-putting at a Peter Pan themed mini golf course. I'm making an awful face in this picture because I actually felt pretty awful. I some how acquired pink eye in both eyes and it was just starting to manifest itself. I also got a UTI that night and was quite miserable until thankfully my doctor called me in some meds at a 24 hour pharmacy, otherwise the trip home would have been quite miserable. Regardless, Mikel and I tied at mini golf!

Regardless of my medical conditions the last night we had a lot of fun!

Before and After

Finally, after being in the house now for almost a year, I've decided to post the before and after pictures. There is still a lot to do, but now that our floors aren't all nasty and the house isn't pink, it's livable!

My Birthday! (which was in March)

For my birthday this year Mikel surprised me and took me to the Shakespeare Tavern! It was a really neat place.

We ate first, Mikel got a King's sub or something, my food was much better though! I got a cornish pasty and it was great!

We saw King Lear, it was a lot of fun and a very good performance!

Video Test

I had to test something out, so I used this short video I made with Ali and Jared a while ago. Thought I'd post it for fun... WARNING! This video may be scary to children. Amy told me to put that, I hope I didn't scare her children...

Sledding!

It's me sledding! We have a great front yard for sledding. The only problem is that sometimes the path steers you into our driveway into a slushie wet puddle. So, I put my hand down to try and steer away from the driveway and then I scream at the end, because it didn't work.

Snow day and the Creek

First, here's the birthday cake I made for Mikel. It's the first ice cream cake I've ever made. It turned out pretty well I think!

Mikel and I had fun sledding and playing in the snow!

This sled was VERY expensive! It was 3 dollars at Ace hardware and it came rolled up like a poster. It sure did slide well though.

Here's Mr. Plitt enjoying the snow.

Here's our snow man swimming away from the snow sharks.

Here's the creek in our backyard. It's a nice big creek. Dad and I cut a nice path to it from our backyard a couple of weeks ago.

So there you are Jared! See what a nice big creek it is??

Coke Museum

Mikel and I both had last Monday off for the Martin Luther King holiday, so we went to the new coke museum in Atlanta.

They had a cheesy 4D movie. The 4D movie part was good, but it was REALLY cheesy.

The tasting room is always a crowd pleaser! And you can't help but leave feeling like you're gonna pop!

They give you a free bottle coke at the end too! Here's me reaching for one.

Afterward we went to Underground Atlanta and ate at Johnny Rockets. They gave us two nickels to use in the little juke box at our table, it played our songs over the restaurant speakers. Very neat!
