The Beach

Started our trip with a wonderful Cracker Barrel breakfast!

A morning family walk on the beach. Raven forces us to wake up at 6 anyway so we thought we might as well enjoy the scenery and look for sea shells.

Raven wasn't a big fan of the ocean, but we dug a shallow hole and kept filling it up with water. She loved splashing around in it and climbing into the hole.

I tried to make a sand cube, but this was as cubey as I could get it.

Mikel dug a hole and stuck Raven in it.

Can you find the ghost crab?

We had lots of fun! Thanks mom and dad!

Apple Orchard

This past weekend we went to the apple orchards to see some pig racing and have some Fall fun! (even though it's not technically Fall yet...) The weather was awesome though!

The orchard wasn't very crowded, so the big slide they had was totally abandoned. So we all took advantage of it!

We had a great Saturday!

4th of July

Raven got to see her first fireworks show this July. She slept at the park the few hours before the show started, since it was her bedtime, but then woke up a little bit before in a pretty good mood.

At first she wouldn't even look at the fireworks, she was busy playing with a plastic water bottle, but then when she saw them she started talking to them.

And then she got bored of watching the fireworks and got all fidgety so Mikel stood up with her.

To Sally!

Thanks to Sally for the bath letters/number. Raven loves to chew on them in the tub!

Swimming

Despite her smile, Raven's first swim adventure did not go well. It probably didn't help that she was tired and that the water was freezing. She did okay with just her feet in, but by the time I got up to her waist she decided that she did not like the pool and cried.

Her second time in the pool was a little better. She didn't like it at first and then she just looked serious for a while, not crying, but not happy.

Then finally she started to enjoy it. She liked it much better not being in the float, though it's hard to tell from the pictures because she is making the exact same face...

Mimi and Raven in their matching sun hats!
