Wordless Wednesday

4th of July

Raven got to see her first fireworks show this July. She slept at the park the few hours before the show started, since it was her bedtime, but then woke up a little bit before in a pretty good mood.


At first she wouldn't even look at the fireworks, she was busy playing with a plastic water bottle, but then when she saw them she started talking to them.


And then she got bored of watching the fireworks and got all fidgety so Mikel stood up with her.

Swimming

Despite her smile, Raven's first swim adventure did not go well. It probably didn't help that she was tired and that the water was freezing. She did okay with just her feet in, but by the time I got up to her waist she decided that she did not like the pool and cried.


Her second time in the pool was a little better. She didn't like it at first and then she just looked serious for a while, not crying, but not happy.


Then finally she started to enjoy it. She liked it much better not being in the float, though it's hard to tell from the pictures because she is making the exact same face...

Daddy's Work

This past week Raven and I went to visit Mikel at work to eat lunch with him and visit his office. I always enjoy seeing where people work, that way when you think of them when they are at work, you can have a more accurate picture in your head of them. Here's Mikel's cute little cubicle!
