Mikel surprised me with a date out to see They Might Be Giants a few weeks ago. It was amazing! He even got his mom to babysit for us, thank you so much Sarah. Mikel told me he had bought ticket and that it was in Athens, so I knew we had to drop by the comic/record shop.
And we went to a place called Flashback Games that had a bunch of old arcade games, $3 for half an hour or $5 for all day. We only had time to play half an hour, but I could have spent all day there. They had some shooting games and an air hockey table too.
I could have played this game all day. I actually beat this game at the arcade when I was a kid! I don't know how many quarters it took me to do it though...
On the Elevator to the roof of the Georgia Theater. There's a restaurant up there, it's mainly a bar, but the food is made by a restaurant called the Branded Butcher and they make their hot dogs and brats in house.
The saurkraut was also house made. We were disappointed in the price per portion except for the chilli fries, they were crispy and awesome.
on the roof!
In front of the Georgia Theater.
This is the opening band, two guys with saxophones called Moon Hooch. They were good, but I wouldn't buy the album.
Here are the two Johns. They did great, but I wish they had played more of my favs. They said they played in the Georgia Theater 25 years ago.
It was a great night, we had a blast. Thanks Mikel, you the best!
