Chinese New Year 09

Me, Mikel, dad, Gram, sister Ali, brother(in-law) Jared and niece Chess went down to Chamblee for a Chinese new year celebration. This year, is the year of the Ox, that's the year that I was born in! It's gonna be a great year for me!

They had lots of authentic Chinese food for sell all around the cultural center. Here Mikel is eating a seafood pancake.


I'm showing off the yummy tentacles hanging out of my seafood pancake and some Chinese rolls are in my bowl.


This cool looking dude walked/danced around on stage and held up a sign in Chinese that I thing was saying that this year is the year of the Ox. He threw pennies at us and some candy too!


Ali and Jared are trying to feed Chess, but she's a little distracted.


We went up on a stair, balcony thing to watch the lion dance and the dragon performance.

Afterward we ate at Steak and Shake.


Then later (with no accompanying picture) we ended our day watching Kung Fu Panda, what a Chinese filled day we had. Except for the Steak and Shake I guess...

Christmas Day and shortly after

I was gifted with some candy cane soda, mmmm....



Mikel seems a little too pleased with his gifts...



Christmas breakfast was delicious.



We had bacon, sausage, cream of wheat, eggs over easy, toast and a tall glass of OJ.



Time for the Christmas program. The Macpherson clan are happy dancing elves, well, most of them are happy anyway.



I begged Mikel to play the trumpet and he did wonderfully!



Bailey tried her best to get all the children in line to do the kid songs. She hosted the program and did a lovely job!

My friends and I got together the Saturday after Christmas to celebrate!



We played Scattergories and Cranium and ate hot dogs and hamburgers.

Pre Christmas Celebrations

Mikel and I decorated our lovely Christmas tree this past week. We love peppermints and candy canes, so we're going for a candy cane Christmas theme!

Even though it's tough to tell, our tree light are red and white as well!

Here we are next to our cute little tree! We'll be hard pressed to fit all our many many presents underneath it I'm sure!

A Time of Thanksgiving

This is lame, but Ali tagged me so I'll do it. I know you sew a lot of stuff and have a baby Ali, how in the world do you have time for this nonsense? I'll do it, but I'm not gonna tag anyone so =P.

Halloween!

It's Halloween and I'm an elf!!


Emma was a freezing Cinderella.


Ellie was a fairy too lazy to use her wings.


And Mikel was just... a cute boy!

Later that day, two of Mikel's younger sisters came over and we had fun eating funnel cake and playing Yahtzee, but unfortunately I only got pictures of Mikel doing this....

I love the Fall!!

Mikel and I couldn't make it to the Apple Orchard with the rest of the family, so we went on a different day just the two of us. It was fun! We climbed trees, picked apples and drank some apple cider slushies. I even made an apple pie with the apples we picked!

Amy and Adam went to a wedding so Mikel and I watched the girls for them. We had lots of fun playing outside, watching movies and eating brownies on our kitchen floor!


Mikel and I carved our pumpkin one week before Halloween! I love carving pumpkins! Every year I have to do a different one. This year we carved a pumpkin with Zach's favorite Mario character! Can you tell what it is?



It's Boo, the ghost in Mario that come at you when you aren't looking at them and stop when you look. Could you tell what it was before I told you??

Mikel and I dressed up. I'm Chloe from Noir and he's some random guy I kill. (He thinks he's an assassin).
