The beginning of our Before's and After's

We painted, changed the floors, got a new vanity/countertop/faucet, and a new mirror.













After

Now, this after isn't really complete, I still have to get a towel rack to go above the toilet, but it's mainly done and my friend Sara wanted to see the paint. I'll put more up as I finish stuff!

Mexico Beach, Florida

Mikel and I went to Mexico Beach for our 1 year anniversary. We had a nice room overlooking the ocean.




The scenery was beautiful,



The food was delicious,

And of course the beach was funtastic! Thanks to mom and pop we had some lovely shade, I don't know what we would have done without it!




And what's a trip to the beach without a treasure hunt? Mom, dad, Ali, Jared and Chess came to Mexico Beach about a month earlier than us. While they were here they buried a treasure and gave us the map to find it right before we began our journey here.


We followed the map carefully and X marks the spot.


Mikel dug up the spot and who would of thought,


We found the treasure! We were really happy/surprised that it was still buried there after all that time.

July 4th

Mikel and I went to see fireworks on the 3rd.

They had a Beatles cover band playing called The Return. They did pretty well and were fun to listen too.

Easter...

I wasn't going to post any Easter pictures because Easter was so long ago, but I had these pictures saved as a draft from May. I must of started to post them and then stopped. So, I'll just post them real quick anyway.

St. Patrick's day and a slug...

This is Summits Tavern in Cumming, GA. Every St. Patrick's day they have a special meal for $2.09.



The meal consists of mashed potatoes, corned beef, and cabbage. We both got the meal and a root beer. We ate outside on the balcony, we thought it'd be neat because it was beautiful outside but there were some smokers that messed it up. The food was good though!

Cooking

I've been trying to cook/bake new stuff lately, there's been some successes, some failures and some in betweens.

I made this apple crumb cheesecake for Mikel's birthday. My first time making a cheesecake.

Here's some pulled pork and corm nuggets. Pork was great, corn nuggets look better than they were.

My first homemade bread. It's braided bread!

I made some blueberry cinnamon whipped cream mini cakes. A little bit messier looking then they should be, but still not too bad.

Fishing

Me and pops went fishing, we had to take a picture of us with our poles because we didn't catch any fish...
